Thank you for the thoughtful article. After reading this, I was left with two thoughts. 1) With increased automation comes the emergence of increased free time and how a society would choose to use theirs. Would there be significant increases in jobs that provide experiences in arts, entertainment, and physical activities? 2) How would those with power and get people to buy the innovative stuff if there is no longer a class of people with income to purchase the materials built/produced by automation?

the fall from 40% to 2% of the agri workforce sounds impressive, in absolute numbers it's a bit less catastrophic: from 10 million to 3 million.
